Embark on the extraordinary Inca Trail, an iconic trek that captivates adventurers worldwide. However, securing your place on this revered trail demands careful consideration. If you’re envisioning an Inca Trail expedition with Tierra Biru Expeditions, meticulous planning and early reservations are key. Availability is contingent upon various factors, including the season, your group size, and the allocations set by the Peruvian authorities.
A mere 500 trekking permits are issued daily for Inca Trail journeys, encompassing not only participants but also indispensable members of your travel ensemble like porters, cooks, and guides. Given these multiple facets, reserving your Inca Trail experience well in advance is imperative. There isn’t a fixed window for securing an Inca Trail to Machu Picchu entrance ticket, as this varies based on distinct circumstances.
The prime window for Inca Trail exploration aligns with the dry season, spanning from May to September. Be mindful, though, that this period also witnesses peak trail activity. Thus, reserving your voyage with Tierra Biru Expeditions as early as possible isn’t just recommended—it’s a necessity. Unveil the enchantment of the Inca Trail through the lens of Tierra Biru Expeditions.

Welcome to the Availability Inca Trail 2024 section, where you can check the availability for various Inca Trail options, including Short Inca Trail 1 day, Short Inca Trail 2 days, Classic Inca Trail 4 days, Tickets to Machu Picchu, and Tickets to Huayna Picchu. This information is provided by the Ministry of Culture, and we strongly recommend the following:
Act Now: Secure your reservations online. We are currently accepting advance bookings for 2024 from March to August. Availability tends to sell out quickly, often up to six to eight months in advance.
Limited Wayna Picchu Availability: Wayna Picchu (Huayna Picchu) availability is extremely limited and often sells out throughout the year. If you plan to include this destination in your tour, we recommend making reservations well in advance.
Peak Demand for Classic Inca Trail: The Classic Inca Trail 4 days experiences high demand, especially from May to August. We recommend making advance reservations for this popular tour.
February Closure: Please be aware that the Inca Trail is closed during February due to maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning. This month typically sees heavy rainfall.
Variable Spaces: The number of available spaces can vary. Agencies usually book up to 30 spaces, so don’t be surprised if they sell out quickly.

Entrance Inclusions: Classic Inca Trail and Short Inca Trail tickets include entrance to Machu Picchu on the last day for circuit 5.
