2-Day Colca Canyon and Puno Tour Description
The amazing tour with a visit to the majestic Colca Canyon is an amazing experience, offering stunning views of mirrored landscapes, Andean animals such as South American camelids, migratory birds, and glimpses of snow-capped mountains and active and dormant volcanoes in the vast area, including the famous Misti Volcano, Ubinas, among others.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a lovely time in hot springs with a temperature of 38°C, especially recommended for people with bone and muscle conditions, among others. This trip will finally take them to the city of Puno.

Arequipa – Colca Canyon – Puno: 2-Day Itinerary
An incredible tour of the Colca Canyon offers impressive views of landscapes, Andean fauna and volcanoes. It also includes a relaxing time in hot springs at 38°C, recommended for bone and muscle conditions, with a final destination in Puno.
Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay + La Calera Hot Springs
From 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., our local guide will pick up passengers from their hotels (downtown Arequipa) to head towards the deepest canyon in the world. We will make stops at Pampa Cañahuas (Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve), habitat of South American camelids, where we can see vicuñas, known for having the finest and most expensive fiber in the world. In addition, we can observe migratory birds such as flamingos, Andean gulls, wild ducks, etc.
Next, we reach the Mirador de los Volcanes at 4,800 meters above sea level, the highest point of the trip, where we can admire the western mountain range and the volcanoes. Continuing the trip, we arrive at Chivay and check into our accommodations before having lunch in Chivay (lunch not included). In the afternoon, participants can visit the popular hot springs of La Calera, a paradise surrounded by mountains.
Day 2: Chivay – Cruz Del Cóndor – Puno
After breakfast, we start the day with a visit to the Mirador Natural: Cruz del Cóndor, where we can appreciate the immensity and depth of the canyon and enjoy the spectacular flight of the condors. After this unique experience, we head to the Wayrapunko, Andaguilque and Choquetico viewpoints, passing through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque. After a few hours, we return to Chivay for a buffet lunch.
After lunch, we set off for Puno, stopping at Lagunillas along the way, a beautiful place with water mirrors, diverse Andean birds and trout farms in artisanal boats. Amidst the spectacular views and peaceful atmosphere, you can capture incredible photographs. Later, we arrive in Puno around 7pm, and you will be transferred to your hotel.
