3-Hour Itinerary: Arequipa – Santa Catalina Convent
09:00 am – We will pick you up at your respective hotel to begin our walking tour. We will begin the City Tour from the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa, where a detailed explanation will be given about the history of the Cathedral of Arequipa and the surrounding portals. Next, we will head to the Church of the Company of Jesus, where a brief explanation will be given about the history and construction of the church. The Cloisters of the Company of Jesus, located in the historic center, on the left side of the Church of the Company of Jesus, have a carved ashlar passage and beautiful corridors. The Casa Tristán del Pozo is a building that, for many architecture scholars, exhibits the best example of typical Arequipa ornamentation in Peru on the pediment of the façade. The Plaza and the Church of San Francisco make up one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, being the fourth temple and the third religious residence. We will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, considered a colonial citadel within another city. There, you will be able to appreciate spaces built according to their religious needs, with streets, avenues and even its own cemetery. 12:00 pm – We will conclude the tour and take you back to your hotel.Included:
