Arequipa – Colca Canyon – Puno: 4-Day Itinerary
An incredible tour of the Colca Canyon offers impressive views of landscapes, Andean fauna and volcanoes. It also includes a relaxation time in hot springs at 38°C, recommended for bone and muscle conditions, with the final destination in Puno.
Day 1: Arequipa
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel and its surroundings.
- Overnight stay in Arequipa.
Day 2: Arequipa – Chivay
Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Between 7:30 and 8 am, transportation will pick up guests from various hotels to begin the journey to one of the deepest canyons in the world. Travel along the Yura Highway, skirting the Chachani snow-capped mountain towards Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve), habitat of the beautiful South American camelids, the vicuñas. In the Tocra wetlands, observe a variety of migratory birds, including flamingos. Pass by the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). Stop at the volcanoes viewpoint, the highest point on the highway (4,800 meters above sea level), from where you can see a significant part of the western mountain range. Around 1:30 to 2:00 p.m., arrival in Chivay.

- 17:00 In the afternoon, enjoy the thermal baths in La Calera, with thermal-medicinal waters that range between 35°C and 38°C in temperature.

Day 3: Chivay / Cruz Del Cóndor / Chivay / Arequipa
- 06:00 Breakfast.
- 06:30 Head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, a strategic observation point for the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. On the way back, stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque, known for their beautiful colonial churches, as well as at the viewpoints of Choquetico and Antahuilque, where you can observe the impressive terraces of the valley, pre-Inca tombs and models. Lunch (not included).
- 13:00 Return to the city of Arequipa.
- 17:00 to 18:00 Arrival in the city of Arequipa.

Day 4: Arequipa
