PUNO AMARU MARU + TEMPLE OF PHALLUSES
The 'Amaru Muru' or 'Aramu Muru Portal' is an archaeological site in the Peruvian Altiplano, near Lake Titicaca, known for a large rock formation with a door-like opening approximately 7 meters high and 7 meters wide. It is considered a place of great spiritual significance, with some beliefs viewing it as an 'interdimensional door' or 'stargate'.
Itinerary
Day 1: discovering amaru maru and the temple of phallus
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Puno and departs for the southern highlands. The first stop is the Temple of the Phalluses (Inca Uyo) in Chucuito, a pre-Incan ceremonial center associated with fertility rituals. The tour then continues to Aramu Muru, a mysterious portal carved into the rock, considered a sacred site for its spiritual energy. There, a short walk, a guided tour, and free time are provided for meditation or personal connection. Finally, we return to Puno, arriving around noon.
