Booking Terms and Conditions – Tierra Biru Viajes
We recommend that you carefully read the following Terms and Conditions before booking a trip with Tierra Biru Viajes E.I.R.L.. By making a payment through our online gateway, you accept and agree to these conditions in full.
- Booking Contract
The contract is entered into between Tierra Biru Viajes, us, and the Client, including all persons named on the booking form. The person signing the booking form warrants that they have full authority on behalf of all named persons and confirms that all such persons are aware of and agree to these conditions.
- Deposit to Confirm Booking
- A USD 200 deposit per person is required to confirm any booking.
- All flights (domestic and international) must be paid in full in advance.
- Cruise reservations are subject to specific deposit policies depending on the ship operator.
- If the reservation is made 60 days or less before departure, 50% of the payment is required.
- Final Payment
- The outstanding balance must be paid at the start of the service, either through our payment gateway (credit or debit card) or in cash.
- Once full payment is received through the payment gateway, a confirmation will be sent by email.
- In the case of cash payment, an official receipt issued by the company will be provided.
- Failure to make this payment authorizes Tierra Biru Viajes to cancel the reservation, applying administrative management fees.
- Cancellation by the Client
All cancellations must be made in writing and confirmed by Tierra Biru Viajes to be valid:
- If the client has only made a prepayment of $200.00 to confirm the reservation, this amount will not be refundable.
- For passengers who have paid 100% of the cost of the service, the following penalties will apply based on the date of cancellation notification:
- 69 to 31 days: 30% of the total cost.
- 30 to 16 days: 60% of the total cost.
- 15 days or less: 100% of the total cost.
Some suppliers (hotels, airlines, local operators, public institutions) may apply additional charges or not allow Refund. These terms will prevail over our general policy.
- Rescheduling and Special Notes
- In the event of postponing the trip, a 20% administrative fee will apply, plus any non-refundable costs already incurred.
- No refunds are issued if you voluntarily abandon the trip.
- It is recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance, which covers cancellations, medical emergencies, repatriation, and lost luggage.
- Customer Information
To guarantee the contracted services, you must send all your complete personal information along with the final payment. Minimum information required:
- Full name (as per passport)
- Passport number and expiration date
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Place of Birth
- Arrival Details
If this information is not received, the reservation may be considered cancelled with total loss.
- Changes and Cancellations by Tierra Biru Viajes
We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to causes beyond our control (force majeure, weather, social unrest, government closures, etc.). In such cases:
- Whenever possible, alternative services of equivalent value will be offered. If it is not feasible to provide an alternative, a refund will be issued for the cost of the service not provided.
- Changes Requested by the Client
- Each change request may be subject to an administrative fee, in addition to any additional costs imposed by third parties (hotels, operators, airlines, among others).
- Changes must be requested at least 48 hours in advance of each tour. The request does not guarantee approval, as it will be subject to the availability and policies of the suppliers involved.
- Changes will not be accepted on the day of the tour, without exception.
- All change requests must be made exclusively by the person who signed the reservation form.
- Customer Substitution
The reservation can be transferred to another person with at least 30 days' notice and prior coordination and a fee will be subject to penalties according to each company's policies.
For the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu tickets, permits are not modifiable or transferable once issued. The deposit is completely forfeited.
- Medical Requirements and Special Conditions
Any medical condition, disability, pregnancy, or special need must be reported in writing at the time of booking. We reserve the right to reject participants for safety or logistical reasons.
- Travel with Children
- Customers 18 years of age or older are considered adults.
- The minimum ratio required is 1 adult for every 2 minors.
- Minimum age: 12 years for regular tours, 5 years for family tours.
- Subject to review and approval by Tierra Biru Viajes.
- Documentation and Vaccinations
You are responsible for:
- It is the passenger's responsibility to have a valid passport with a minimum validity of six (06) months from the start date of the trip.
- Manage visas, vaccinations, and any required documentation.
- Age, Physical Fitness, and Participation
- All clients are expected to be in good physical condition for the booked itinerary.
- Persons over 60 years of age must present a medical certificate upon request.
- Tierra Biru Viajes may reject reservations if it considers that there are risks or propose alternative routes after coordination with the client.
- Financial Security
Tierra Biru Viajes is registered and authorized by the Peruvian Ministry of Tourism (RUC: 20601304253), holds licenses from DIRCETUR, CALTUR, and SERNANP to operate the Inca Trail, and complies with the insurance and bonds required by law.
- Payment Methods
- Credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club): No additional fee.
- Bank transfer: The client must assume the bank fees applied by their financial institution.
- Cash deposits: Through Western Union, MoneyGram, or ArgemPer.
- Travel Insurance
It is mandatory to have travel insurance that covers:
- Accidents, illness, emergency evacuation
- Cancellation, loss of luggage and personal belongings
- Minimum recommended coverage: USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars)
- Flights
- Airfares are not guaranteed until paid in full.
- Flights are subject to change without notice.
- Tierra Biru Viajes is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by airlines, weather, strikes, or closures.
- Customer Responsibility
- You may be excluded from the tour without a refund due to misconduct or medical reasons affecting the trip.
- No refunds will be given for unused services at the customer's discretion.
- Guard your belongings on each tour. The company will not be responsible for any losses.
- Follow the instructions provided 1 day before each tour.
- Limitation of Liability
- Tierra Biru Viajes acts as an intermediary between you and third-party providers (transportation, hotels, guides, etc.), and assumes no direct liability for their acts or omissions.
- No refunds will be issued due to force majeure or events beyond our control.
- Photographs and Testimonials
By participating in our tours, you may grant permission for the free use of your images or comments in our promotional materials (brochures, social media, videos, etc.).
- Privacy Policy
The personal data you provide will be used exclusively for the management of your trip. It will be shared only with necessary providers and under reasonable protection measures.
By making your reservation, you declare that you have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions.
