Itinerary
DAY 1: Full-Day Tour to Humantay Lake
Morning, the hike to Humantay Lake begins with hotel pickup and a northwesterly drive from Cusco to Soraypampa, stopping in Mollepata for an optional local breakfast surrounded by picturesque colonial houses. Upon arriving in Soraypampa, the Humantay Lake Tour begins with a 40-minute hike on a semi-flat slope, followed by a 1-hour and 20-minute ascent to the stunning Turquoise Humantay Lagoon. At midday, enjoy a captivating photo op at the Salkantay and Humantay Glaciers surrounding the lagoon. In the afternoon, begin the descent back to Soraypampa, enjoying the stunning Andean scenery along the way, before returning to Cusco and concluding the Full-Day Humantay Lake Tour. Horseback riding is also available, with rental services available at the start of the hike. This allows for uphill sections and only a 20-minute walk to the summit.
