CUSCO MOUNTAIN OF COLORS
The Mountain of Seven Colors, also known as Vinicunca, is a mountain formation in the Peruvian Andes, near Cusco, famous for its vibrant and striking colors. These colors are caused by the combination of different minerals that have been deposited in the layers of the mountain over millions of years.

The The excursion to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) begins very early in the morning, with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. The trip then takes approximately three hours to the town of Cusipata, where a typical Andean breakfast is served. After breakfast, the journey continues for another hour to the community of Chillihuani, the starting point of the hike. The trek to the summit of Rainbow Mountain lasts between 1.5 and two hours, traversing a mountain landscape at more than 5,000 meters above sea level. During the ascent, you can appreciate the imposing Vilcanota mountain range and the snow-capped Ausangate. Once at the summit, visitors have free time to enjoy the scenery and take photographs. The hike then descends along the same path to the starting point and returns to Cusipata for lunch. Finally, the return trip to Cusco begins, arriving approximately between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. This tour includes transportation, a guide, meals, mountain entrance fees, and first aid. Warm clothing, appropriate footwear, sunscreen, and water are recommended. There is also the option of renting horses on-site to facilitate the ascent.
