Itinerary

Day 1: discovering the sillar routes

The Sillar Route tour starts at 9:00 AM hrs with pickup from downtown hotels. The first stop is at the Añashuayco quarry, arriving at approximately 9:30 am. Here, visitors can observe murals carved in ashlar and learn about the work of the stonemasons, as well as enjoy views of the canyon resulting from the extraction of stone. The second stop is at Quebrada de Culebrillas, around 10:30 am, where they can take a walk through the canyon, admiring walls up to 20 meters high and exploring petroglyphs carved into the stone. The return to Arequipa is at 12:00 pm, arriving in the city at approximately 1:00 pm. The tour includes tourist transportation, a professional guide, and assistance during the tour, but does not include meals, the entrance ticket (S/5), or additional expenses. It is recommended to wear sturdy footwear, appropriate clothing, water, and cash.
