Itinerary
DAY 1: Gastronomic Tour
Lima is recognized as the gastronomic capital of the Americas, largely due to the celebration of the International Fair of Lima. Lima's International Gastronomic Festival, better known as MISTURA, is the most important food festival in Latin America. Peruvian cuisine, which has inherited influences from pre-Incan, Incan, Spanish, African, Chinese, Japanese, and Italian cuisines, combines and creoles an enviable variety of flavors and ingredients, offering an impressive array of constantly evolving dishes. We'll begin our visit at a local market, where we'll appreciate the ingredients used in the preparation of the main typical dishes and enjoy a tasting of local fruits. Then, we'll head to the hall where a chef will offer a practical class on the preparation of ceviche and pisco sour, emblematic dishes of Peruvian gastronomy. Here you'll have the opportunity to learn about these dishes and prepare your own version with the chef's guidance, who will explain the history and preparation of the ingredients. Afterwards, you will also participate in the preparation of our typical drink, the pisco sour, and finally, we will sit down at the table to taste the dishes we have prepared and enjoy this enriching culinary experience.
