What is ESNNA?

ESNNA is the Spanish acronym used in Peru for the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. It includes situations in which a person under the age of 18 is used for sexual, pornographic or erotic purposes in exchange for payment, a promise of payment or another benefit. Prevention requires the active participation of authorities, tourism service providers, workers, suppliers and travelers.

  • Inform and train staff on prevention and appropriate response to ESNNA-related situations.
  • Display and communicate prevention materials and messages in the spaces or channels required.
  • Inform clients and suppliers about Tierra Biru's institutional position against these practices.
  • Include prevention commitments in relationships with tourism service suppliers where applicable.
  • Comply with response, communication and reporting duties established by current regulations.

Prevention and response

Tierra Biru promotes awareness among its team of the company's ESNNA prevention policy and expects staff to act in accordance with applicable protocols and obligations whenever a suspicious situation or possible case is identified. The protection of children and adolescents takes priority over any commercial interest.

Information for clients and suppliers

We aim to communicate our position against ESNNA visibly and to extend this commitment to suppliers involved in providing tourism services. Where applicable, prevention clauses or commitments are incorporated into our commercial relationships.
