Best time to visit: The ideal window spans from May to September, a period widely celebrated as the "Andean summer". These months deliver bright, consistently clear days, offering the most stable and scenic conditions for trekking and climbing alpine trails.
How to get there: Primarily reached overland from Lima via the North Pan-American highway, a scenic drive of approximately eight hours. It is also connected via short domestic flights linking the capital to the nearby Anta airport.
