DAY01

Llanganuco Lake Full Day

We depart from Huaraz toward the Callejón de Huaylas, enjoying a scenic ride through valleys and highland landscapes. Our first stop is Carhuaz, where we enjoy a tasting of artisan ice cream made with local fruits, and visit the town church and main square to feel its traditional atmosphere. Next, we continue to the Yungay Memorial Site (Ranrahirca–Yungay), where we learn about the city buried by the 1970 earthquake and walk up to the White Christ viewpoint to better understand the significance of this historic place. We then head to Llanganuco Lake, visiting Chinancocha (3,850 m), admired for its intense turquoise color, surrounded by queñual forests and flanked by the snowcapped peaks of Huandoy, Yanapaccha, and Huascarán, with time to enjoy the views and take photos. After the visit, we descend for lunch at a tourist restaurant, and on the way back to Huaraz we make a final stop in Taricá to see how local clay handicrafts are made, ending the service upon arrival in Huaraz.
