Itinerary
Explore the best of Cusco during the dry season with a well-rounded itinerary that blends ancient history, Andean landscapes, and living culture. Your trip begins with a smooth arrival day designed for acclimatization in Cusco (3,399 m), followed by a guided City Tour to the region’s key temples and archaeological sites. Continue into the Sacred Valley of the Incas—Chinchero, Moray, Maras, and Ollantaytambo—then travel by train to Aguas Calientes to prepare for the highlight: a guided visit to Machu Picchu. The journey finishes with the unforgettable Inti Raymi – Sun Festival, including access to the Orange Zone. A great choice for travelers who want an organized experience with entrances included and logistics taken care of.
Upon arrival in Cusco, we pick you up at the airport and transfer you to Anden Inca Hotel (Saphi Street, about 5 minutes from Cusco’s Main Square). This day is planned for acclimatization to altitude (Cusco approx. 3,399 m), so we suggest taking it easy, staying hydrated, and resting. Check-in is at 12:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am; breakfast is included.
At 08:45 am, your guided tour begins with Cusco’s main highlights: the Main Square, Coricancha, and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay. The experience lasts about 04 hours and includes tourist transport, a professional guide, and entrance tickets—perfect for understanding the Inca legacy while enjoying typical June weather: sunny days and chilly evenings.
Pick-up is at 7:30 a.m. to start a scenic route through the Sacred Valley, beginning with Chinchero (approx. 3,762 m) and its living traditions, then continuing to the Inca agricultural terraces of Moray and the iconic Maras Salt Mines, a striking landscape of salt pools carved into the hillsides. After a buffet lunch in Urubamba, you’ll explore the fortress of Ollantaytambo (approx. 2,792 m) before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes (approx. 2,040 m) for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the bus station for the ascent to Machu Picchu (approx. 2,430 m). With your original passport and your entrance ticket, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the most emblematic areas of the citadel, with time for photos and historical interpretation. Then you’ll descend to Aguas Calientes, have free time for lunch (at your own expense), and take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where transportation will be waiting for the final transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
At 08:00 am, we pick you up at the hotel and head to the esplanade of Coricancha to take your reserved place; the first ceremony lasts approximately 40 min. Next, you’ll move to Cusco’s Main Square to witness the Inca’s ceremonial entrance into the heart of the city. Finally, you’ll travel by vehicle to Sacsayhuamán (approx. 3,700 m) for the main Inti Raymi performance; a box lunch is provided during this stage, and the show lasts about 1y30. After the event, your guide coordinates the return and drops you off at your hotel.
At the scheduled time, we provide your Transfer Out from the hotel to Cusco airport for your return flight (CUZ – LIM), ending a complete journey through Cusco’s most iconic cultural and natural landmarks.
