Itinerary
This 13-day journey is a complete Peru experience—from the Pacific coast to the high Andes. Start in Lima at sea level with a tour that blends Miraflores highlights and the Colonial Historic Center, then head south for ocean wildlife at Paracas and desert adventure in Huacachina. Next, fly to the White City of Arequipa and explore the spectacular Colca Valley and Colca Canyon, where you may witness the legendary flight of the Andean condor. Continue across the Altiplano to Puno to discover Lake Titicaca, visiting the floating islands of Uros and the cultural charm of Taquile, plus an unforgettable overnight stay with lake views. Travel onward along the historic Sun Route with cultural stops before arriving in Cusco for acclimatization, iconic archaeological sites, a full Super Sacred Valley day, and the bucket-list highlight—Machu Picchu on the Vistadome Observatory train—ending with the powerful celebration of Inti Raymi from the Orange VIP Section.
Upon arrival in Lima, our team welcomes you at the airport and transfers you comfortably to your hotel. This day is ideal to rest after your trip, adjust to the city’s pace (Lima is at sea level), and begin exploring at your own rhythm. Enjoy your hotel facilities, take a walk nearby, or try Lima’s famous cuisine on your own—getting ready for an itinerary that gradually increases in altitude and excitement.
Between 09:15 and 09:30 a.m., we begin hotel pickups for a tour that blends modern Lima with colonial heritage. We visit the Love Park (Parque del Amor) in Miraflores (Malecón Cisneros near the Villena Bridge), home to Víctor Delfín’s iconic “El Beso” sculpture and colorful mosaics overlooking the ocean. We continue with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial center. At 10:00 a.m. we enjoy a panoramic look at San Martín Square and its historic surroundings, and at 11:00 a.m. we enter the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs to visit the choir area, library, sacristy, and crypts. We return to Miraflores around 2:00 p.m., with a well-rounded perspective of traditional Lima.
We depart Lima at 04:40 a.m. along the Pan-American Highway. During the ride, the guide shares key information and, around 06:00 a.m., we make a short breakfast stop (at the passenger’s expense; a box breakfast is often provided or you can purchase snacks on the way). We arrive in Paracas and at 09:30 a.m. start a boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands, first viewing the Candelabra geoglyph and then spotting wildlife such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and guano birds. After returning, at 10:00 a.m. we enjoy a traditional sweets tasting, followed by free time for lunch around 01:00 p.m.. At 02:00 p.m. we visit an artisanal winery to learn about wine and pisco production and enjoy tastings; at 03:00 p.m. we head to the Huacachina Oasis, and from 03:30 p.m. dune buggies and sandboarding are available as an optional activity. We return to Lima at 05:30 p.m., closing a day of coast, desert, and adventure.
In the morning, we pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Lima’s airport for your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, we meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace and start soaking in the charm of Peru’s White City.
At 08:30 a.m., we pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and begin the journey to Chivay, crossing the breathtaking landscapes of the Colca Valley. Along the way, your guide explains the region’s cultural and natural importance while you may spot Andean camelids such as vicuñas and llamas in their natural habitat. We make strategic stops, including Pata Pampa, known as the Andes Viewpoint and the highest point of the route at 4,800 m / 15,748 ft, offering spectacular mountain views. Upon arrival in Chivay, you’ll have free time for lunch at your own expense, check in at the hotel, and in the afternoon visit local hot springs—perfect for relaxing and acclimatizing. Overnight in Chivay at the indicated hotel.
After breakfast, at 07:00 a.m. we pick you up from your hotel in Chivay to begin the route to the natural viewpoint of Condor Cross (Cruz del Cóndor). Along the way we stop at scenic points with views of the Colca River, pre-Columbian hanging tombs, and ancient agricultural terraces that showcase the valley’s ancestral engineering, while your guide shares historical and cultural insights. At Condor Cross, enjoy about 1 hour to admire the canyon’s scale and watch the majestic flight of the Andean condor, with time for short walks nearby. We then return toward Chivay, visiting traditional villages along the route, and make a final stop for lunch and to collect luggage from the hotel. At 1:15 p.m., we depart by tourist bus from Chivay to Puno with all luggage onboard, enjoying Altiplano landscapes and 10-minute technical stops at the Patapampa Volcano Viewpoint (approx. 4,950 m / 16,240 ft), Chucura Volcano, and Lagunillas for high-Andean lagoons and birdlife, before continuing to Puno.
We start with hotel pickup in Puno from 06:40 a.m. to reach the port and board a motorboat on majestic Lake Titicaca, often described as the world’s highest navigable lake. Our first stop is the iconic Uros Floating Islands, staying about 45 minutes. A bilingual guide (Spanish/English) explains the community’s lifestyle on more than 40 floating islands built with totora reeds, used for homes, boats, fuel, and more. We visit the main island and explore 2 to 3 islands, with the option to ride a traditional reed boat. We then continue to Taquile Island and hike about 1 hour to the village. You’ll have around 3 hours to learn local customs, enjoy incredible lake views, and share a typical lunch (often featuring fresh trout), plus free time to admire Taquile’s renowned textiles. Finally, we head to a floating island to spend the night in a lodge with Lake Titicaca views.
We depart at 06:40 a.m. to travel the famous Sun Route. At 07:40 a.m. we stop in Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, to visit its richly decorated colonial church. At 10:15 a.m. we arrive at Raqchi to see the impressive Temple of Wiracocha. At 11:35 a.m. we enjoy an Andean buffet lunch in Marangani. In the afternoon, at 02:15 p.m. we stop at La Raya, the highest point of the route, and at 03:20 p.m. we visit the Pucará Museum to learn about pre-Inca Altiplano cultures. We continue the journey and arrive around 05:30 p.m., finishing a day of culture and landscapes.
In the morning, we transfer you from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, our team welcomes you and escorts you to your hotel to rest and acclimatize to the altitude (Cusco is around 3,399 m / 11,151 ft). In the afternoon, enjoy a 4-hour Cusco City Tour visiting Qoricancha, Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucará, and Tambomachay, then return to the hotel.
We depart between 06:30 a.m. and 07:00 a.m. with hotel pickup for the Super Sacred Valley experience. At 08:00 a.m. we visit Chinchero, then at 09:30 a.m. we continue to Moray, and at 10:45 a.m. we explore the Maras Salt Mines with more than 3,000 ponds. Around 12:30 p.m. you’ll have time for an Andean buffet lunch (passenger’s expense). At 02:00 p.m. we visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, followed by free time in town. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.
After breakfast and according to your entry time, we pick you up at your hotel in Ollantaytambo and transfer you to the station to board the Vistadome Observatory train to Aguas Calientes. On arrival, staff assist you to the bus station for the ride up to Machu Picchu (approx. 25 minutes). You must present your original passport and physical ticket at the entrance control. Inside the citadel (approx. 2,430 m / 7,972 ft), your guide provides a detailed explanation on the assigned circuit for about 2 hours. After the guided visit, return to Aguas Calientes by bus with free time for lunch on your own, then take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
We pick you up between 07:30 and 08:00 a.m. to attend Inti Raymi, the ancient Festival of the Sun. The experience begins at Qoricancha with the first ceremony, then continues to Cusco’s Main Square for the symbolic handover of the khipu, and culminates at Sacsayhuamán for the main ceremony with offerings to the Sun and Pachamama, enjoyed from the Orange VIP Section for excellent visibility and added comfort. After the show, we transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
At the scheduled time, our team provides the corresponding transfer, closing your journey with the satisfaction of having experienced Peru’s coast, the Altiplano, and the Andes through culture, landscapes, and unforgettable moments.
