Cusco & Machu Picchu — 7 Days

After breakfast, we set out toward the Maras area. Before starting the ATV ride, you receive a safety briefing and the instructions needed for the activity.

During the excursion, you visit Moray, known for its circular terraces, and the Maras Salt Mines, formed by thousands of salt pools spread across the hillside. The day combines the ATV experience with the scheduled visits.

At the end of the excursion, we coordinate the return to Cusco.

After breakfast, we begin the journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The route starts with a stop at the Taray viewpoint and continues to Pisac, where you visit the archaeological complex and the area around its traditional market.

Later, we stop in Urubamba for lunch. We then continue to Ollantaytambo to visit its archaeological complex.

Once the Sacred Valley visits are complete, you board the train to Aguas Calientes. Along the way, you follow the Urubamba River as the Andean landscape gradually gives way to cloud-forest vegetation.

From Aguas Calientes, you take the included bus up to Machu Picchu. A professional guide accompanies you during the visit and leads the route according to the entrance ticket and circuit assigned for that day.

During the visit, you explore Machu Picchu’s architecture, archaeological areas and natural setting within the authorized route that applies to your ticket.

After the visit, we begin the return to Cusco according to the day’s bus, train and road-transfer schedule.

Very early, at around 4:30 a.m., we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the journey south by tourist transportation. The route continues to Cusipata, where we stop for breakfast before heading to Phulawasipata, the stated starting point for the hike.

From there, you begin an approximately 1.5-hour walk through high-Andean landscapes, with alpacas, llamas and views toward the Ausangate range, until you reach the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint, also known as Vinicunca.

After time at the viewpoint, we begin the descent and return to Cusipata for lunch. In the afternoon, transportation continues back to Cusco, with the current itinerary indicating arrival at around 5:00 p.m.

After several days of excursions, this day is free for you to enjoy Cusco at your own pace. You can walk through the historic center, rest, spend time in the city’s squares or use the day however you prefer.

After breakfast, you have free time until the coordinated departure time. At the agreed time, we pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Cusco airport for your onward flight.

Tierra Biru’s service ends with the airport transfer. Domestic and international flights are not included in the package.
