Itinerary
Discover a wilder side of Lima on an unforgettable ocean adventure to the Palomino Islands. Cruise along the historic Callao coastline and pass iconic islands such as San Lorenzo and El Frontón, plus areas rich in seabirds. The highlight is reaching the Palomino islets, home to an impressive colony of 5,000+ sea lions. You’ll have the rare opportunity to swim alongside sea lions in their natural habitat, equipped with a wetsuit, life jacket, and guided by a professional lifeguard. A short, thrilling half-day tour that combines nature, wildlife, and pure adrenaline—just outside Lima.
We begin with hotel pick-up at 9:00 a. m. and head to the pier. At 9:30 a. m. the cruise starts along La Punta, passing the “sunken Callao,” now known as El Camotal Island, and continuing toward San Lorenzo Island, where we’ll see the President’s beach house. We then pass El Frontón Island, where the former prison can be seen, and continue alongside the Cavinzas National Reserve, home to guano seabirds. Finally, we reach the Palomino Islets, where more than 5,000 sea lions live—an incredible natural spectacle. At 10:30 a. m., wearing a wetsuit, you’ll enjoy the unique experience of swimming with sea lions guided by a professional lifeguard, for 20 minutes within a total 30-minute route around the islets. At 11:30 a. m. we start the return to Miraflores, arriving back at hotels around 1:00 p. m..
