Larco Museum (Half Day – 04 hrs)
We begin with hotel pick-up and transfer to the Larco Museum, surrounded by beautiful gardens and housed in an 18th-century colonial mansion built over a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. With our guide, we explore the galleries showcasing a world-class collection of pre-Columbian art, including remarkable gold and silver pieces and the well-known erotic art gallery, valued for its historical and symbolic significance. We also visit the museum’s storage rooms, an impressive behind-the-scenes area where 45,000 artifacts are preserved and organized, offering insight into conservation and research. The experience provides a deeper appreciation of ancient Peru and the museum’s international recognition.
