Itinerary
Get the perfect introduction to Cusco in just a few hours with this classic route that combines the city’s most important landmark with the top archaeological sites surrounding it. The Cusco City Tour + 4 Ruins is ideal for your first day: you’ll visit Qoricancha, once the spiritual heart of the Inca Empire, and then head uphill to explore the monumental complexes that dominate the valley. At Sacsayhuamán you’ll see massive stonework fitted with incredible precision, continue to Qenqo with its ceremonial symbolism, feel the presence of water engineering at Tambomachay, and finish at Puca Pucará, a strategic lookout with panoramic views. With hotel pick-up and drop-off, and two departure options—08:50 a.m. or 13:50 p.m.—it’s easy to fit into any itinerary.
We start with hotel pick-up, with two schedule options: 08:50 a.m. or 13:50 p.m.. During the drive in tourist transport, we pass some of Cusco’s most iconic streets while your guide shares stories about the city’s architecture and history. Our first stop is the Qoricancha Temple, known for its remarkable Inca construction and its deep spiritual importance in ancient Cusco, where you’ll learn how it became the religious center of the Inca world. We then continue to the esplanade of Sacsayhuamán, a majestic military and ceremonial complex with outstanding views over the valley. Next, we visit Qenqo, associated with rituals and Andean symbolism, continue to Tambomachay, famous for its water channels and fountains, and finish at Puca Pucará, a strategic site with its own history and panoramic scenery. At the end of the tour, we return and drop you off at your hotel.
