Itinerary
Cusco Que enamora is a complete Andean journey designed to help you experience Cusco’s most iconic highlights in a short time: a cultural Cusco City Tour through Inca and colonial landmarks, a deep dive into the Sacred Valley, and the dream moment at Machu Picchu. The itinerary becomes truly special with Inti Raymi, the legendary Festival of the Sun—an unforgettable celebration of living heritage, included with VIP Orange Zone access as listed. You’ll finish with a dramatic high-altitude adventure to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), surrounded by the stunning Ausangate range. A powerful mix of history, culture, and Andean landscapes—with smooth logistics from start to finish.
Upon arrival at Cusco airport, Tierra Biru’s team welcomes you and transfers you comfortably to your hotel. You’ll have time to rest and acclimatize to altitude—Cusco sits at about 3,399 m / 11,152 ft. In the afternoon, enjoy a four-hour city tour visiting the impressive Qoricancha Temple, the mighty Sacsayhuamán fortress, and the archaeological sites of Qenqo, Puca Pucará, and Tambomachay. Along the way, you’ll connect with Cusco’s Inca heritage, ancient traditions, and panoramic viewpoints before returning to your hotel to rest.
We pick you up from your hotel at 07:30 a.m. to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas, known for its fertile landscapes and milder climate. We start at the Taray Viewpoint for sweeping views, continue to the colorful Pisac Market, and then visit the Pisac ruins with guided interpretation. After a buffet lunch in Urubamba, we explore Ollantaytambo and its remarkable terraces and ceremonial spaces. Later, we head to the train station and travel to Aguas Calientes, where our staff assists with your hotel transfer and essential recommendations for your Machu Picchu visit.
After breakfast, depending on your entry schedule, we transfer you to the bus station for the ~25-minute ride up to Machu Picchu. At the entrance, you must present your original passport and physical ticket. Inside the citadel (about 2,430 m / 7,972 ft), your guide explains its history, architecture, and meaning during a ~2-hour guided circuit that covers the main highlights and viewpoints. Afterwards, we return by bus to Aguas Calientes (25 minutes) and you’ll have free time for lunch on your own. Then we take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
We begin with hotel pickup between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., then drive to the Qoricancha complex. After settling in, we await the start of Inti Raymi, the famous Festival of the Sun, featuring ancestral rituals, music, and dance that bring Andean history to life. After the first part, we follow the protagonists to Cusco’s Main Square to witness the symbolic delivery of the khipu from the Inca to the city’s mayor. We then continue by bus to Sacsayhuamán, where you may sit in EMUFEC’s stands (optional) to enjoy the main ceremony: tributes to the Sun and offerings to Pachamama, including the symbolic sacrifice of a black llama as a traditional fertility rite. We return to Cusco and transfer you back to the hotel, carrying the emotion of this living tradition, with Inti Raymi VIP Orange Zone access included as specified.
We start early at 04:30 a.m. with hotel pickup in Cusco and travel south for about three hours through Andean towns such as Oropesa, Andahuaylillas, and Urcos, arriving in Cusipata for an energizing breakfast. We then continue to Phulawasipata (4,600 m / 15,092 ft), the trailhead for a ~1.5-hour hike through highland landscapes with alpacas, llamas, and views of the Ausangate range. At the viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca, 5,300 m / 17,388 ft), enjoy time for photos and the breathtaking multicolored scenery. We hike back down, enjoy an Andean buffet lunch in Cusipata, and return to Cusco around 5:00 p.m..
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and, at the appropriate time, we pick you up for your airport transfer to board your Cusco–Lima flight. Service ends after an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Inca world—blending living culture, history, and highland scenery.
