Itinerary
Experience Vinicunca in an exciting way on the Rainbow Mountain Quad Bike Tour, combining adrenaline, highland scenery, and local culture in one day. You’ll leave Cusco before sunrise and travel through the southern valley, passing traditional towns before reaching Cusipata for an energizing breakfast. Then you continue to Phulawasipata (4,600 m), where you’ll receive a safety briefing and a short practice session before starting the ride. The ATV route climbs for about 20 minutes toward the Mountain of 7 Colors (Vinicunca, 5,300 m), where you’ll have free time for photos and to enjoy the multicolored Andes. Afterward, you return and enjoy an Andean buffet lunch in Cusipata before heading back to Cusco around 5:00 p.m.. Ideal for travelers who want thrills and epic panoramas without a long hike.
We start very early at 04:30 a.m. with hotel pick-up in Cusco and travel south through the valley by tourist transport. During the approximately three-hour drive, we pass charming Andean towns such as Oropesa, famous for its “pan chuta” bread, Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas”, and Urcos, until we reach Cusipata, where we enjoy an energizing breakfast. We then continue to Phulawasipata (4,600 m), where you’ll receive safety instructions for the quad bikes (ATVs); after a short practice, we begin the ride, climbing for approximately 20 minutes toward the impressive Mountain of 7 Colors (Vinicunca, 5,300 m), described as a “Unique Natural Treasure in the World.” You’ll have free time to admire the multicolored landscape, take photos, and enjoy the magic of the Andes. Afterward, we walk back to Phulawasipata, return to Cusipata for an Andean buffet lunch, and finally head back to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 p.m. with unforgettable memories of this unique experience.
